Bence Samu

Fifth year media design student at MOME. His main interest in programming is generated graphics. He is teaching programming basics at the university. His recent installations and objects are based on the connection of human, machine and nature. Since 2002 in a group called “binaura.net”, he is performing live acts and building interactive installations. Daniel Feles - trainee

Dani is a junior member trainee of KiBu. In his freetime he is a schoolboy in the 11th grade at Városmajor secondary school.
He enters enthusiastic for all competition eg. Budapest Cow Parade, 8th @RC Competition, his city-lightposter was exhibited at @RC, at the Budapest cow parade he had a cow waiting for a sponsor.
He does compute art flashing when he is laid back, reads, listens, and looks, shoots photos, picks a guitar, does archery with arrows, does sports and thinks...

Dávid Lakatos

David (Dögi) studies at Budapest University of Technology and Economics
as a second year electrical engineer. He enjoys when the software and
hardware side of a given problem come to harmony with each other.

Greg Szekely

Greg is a computer engineering student at the Budapest University of Technology. His interests are Java Technologies, Data Mining, Text Mining and Natural Language Processing. In his spare time he edits and writes his blog, playes Floorball and works.

Györgyi Gálik

Györgyi is a fourth year media designer student at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, at the same time she's doing the third year at the Departement of Design Manager. Beside her photos, visual design and video works she is interested in new media projects.

She is finishing her last year at Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. She has attended Chelsea College and New York Academy as well. She has been working with motion picture for over 10 years. Minimalist libra, urbanite and real visualist. She is interested in visual communication and interactive motion images. When she is not making the video, she must be updating her visual system.

Horváth, Edina Cecília

HECc is notoriously looking for a question. A special one. And she believes, if she finds it, she just has to read a lot and then she will know everything.In other worlds she is finishing her last year at Hungarian Academy of Fine at Intermedia Department. She has been working with motion picture for over 10 years. Her fileld of interest is eccentrically ways of communication.

Kristóf Krisztián

Finished his studies in 2003 at the painting department of MKE, since then he didn't really use a brush, he is more interested in the possibilities of sequential, narrative forms, without being attached to one genre. Since 2004 he is the member of the artgroup the randomroutines with Kaszás Tamás / Ninni Wager.
His work is usually filtered through several mediums (for example from storyboard -> public work -> documentation -> diaslide-tale).
In exhibitions, these works find their place in complex installations.

Laszlo Bacsi

Computer Science student at BUTE. Has been in web application development for several years, is interested in new technologies, gadgets and the new media. In web projects he prefers to use Ruby on Rails and Javascript. Lately he became interested in mobile devices and locative media.

Milan Korsos

Milan is a third year computer engineering student at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He is mainly concerned with web development and new-media research. As a researcher he is looking for answers how will our lovely gadgets be the part of our life. As an informatican he is also interested in software technologies, mobile telecommuncation and locative media. Not as an informatican he plays sports: he is skiing or windsurfing depending on the weather.

Graduated on computer science at BME last year. Tried to meet with robots, generate 3d graphics, build sensor network, program microcontroller, generate random 64k intro, create PCB and develop for web. Likes hacking thingies. Interested in visual design/art, and music.

Ramyah Gowrishankar

Ramyah graduated as a Communication Designer from Srishti, School of Art Design and Technology, in Bangalore, India. Her works are a curious mix of Visual Communication, Film, Interaction design and Digital media. She is interested in exploring the relationships that evolve around people and their everyday objects and is always searching for interesting stories about the world around her. Learning through sharing ideas and experiences in a multi-contextual space through a variety of mediums is one of her key sources of inspiration.

Réka Harsányi

Réka graduated at MOME’s video faculty. In 2005 she spent a couple of months at Rotterdam’s Willem de Koonig Academy as a media designer. Experimental short videos, interactive installations constitute her repertoire so far. She’s very fond of experimenting with sound.

Szonja Kádár

Szonja has graduated as industrial designer from BUTE, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. She will not be a star designer. Her main interests are about eco-footprint, eco-responsibility and the like. She would like to work on communication of "greening", in a different way from how greenpeace does.

Tamás Bagi

He studies electrical engineering. He deals with digital devices by choice, but interested in almost everything, for example classical music, and EVs. Sometimes he makes small computer programs, for microcontrollers. When he doesn't deal with creating PCBs or solders LEDs, makes ski or climbs rock.

Zoltán Kovács

Graduated on visual communication at MOME in 2004. Preceding studies: philosophy (SZTE), informatics (SZTE). Interested in new media, design and unusual connections between human, nature and technology.

Zoltán Prekopcsák

He has been developing and researching social web applications in the past few years. He is interested in data mining and visualization projects with social and cultural aspects, and possible uses of collaborative technologies and tools.

Robin Nagy, managing director

As the managing director of Kitchen Budapest, Robin makes sure that all the cogs and wheels are in place, that KIBU is operating seamlessly from legal and financial aspects, and is a creative living place.

Adam Somlai-Fischer, program director

Adam is one of the key generators of the content created at KIBU, he helps the teamwork dynamics with his experience in international interdisciplinary projects

An architect and interaction designer, is interested in the cultural qualities of new technologies, and to explore these he creates installations and experiments that blend spaces, technologies and interactivity. A team worker, Adam collaborates with designers, artists and engineers, where motivations are shared to create projects from conglomerates of thinking cultures.

Péter Halácsy, technologist

Peter has a degree of electrical engineering from BME Budapest, besides KIBU, he is a researcher at MOKK Media Research, at the department of sociology.

Attila Nemes, managing director of KIBU SERVICES

Attila, as the managing director of KIBU SERVICES, is responsible for the production and prototyping, education and communication services, and chief-curating KIBU presentations at international art&tech exhibitions and design fairs.

He recieved his art historian degree in 2001 from ELTE Budapest, between 1995 and 1997 he studied at San Francisco State University, and UC Berkeley, at the Department of Art History. Since 1997 he is the PR strategic advisor of Sygma PR, since 2007 team member of KIBU as communication specialist.

Eszter Bircsák, coordination assistant

Eszter is responsible for the everyday tasks of the lab, as well as the press relations.
